"Was I just jealous, bitter and cold? The sins i committed, the lies that I told. Had no respect for you, Only myself. A memeory I'm not so fond of as well, and I can honestly say I was wrong; so can you forgive me so I can move on"
"So different, so different than you. So different than you are. I know it's sad but true. So different, I'm no different than you."
Dean slammed the door to their third hotel room, fuming and beyond worried; he was pissed.
“We’ve been searching for a week, a week and we still have no clue where the hell he is!”
Dean heard Cas sigh and he turned towards his Angel.
“Dean, Sam is with Gabriel.”
“You sent that douche to find my brother?”
“Dean. We need to talk.”
Dean didn’t like the sound of that. He didn’t like the sound of it one bit. He licked his lips and turned away from the angel and towards the bed. He rolled his shoulders, trying to fake disinterest and played with the keys ion his pockets. He heard the flutter of far away feathers, and Cas was behind him, arms wrapped around Deans waist in a sign of intimacy he’d never had from Cas. Dean froze and sucked in a breath.
“I have been patent. I have allowed you time.” Cas whispered in Deans ear, and he couldn’t help but shiver. “I have allowed you to take what you wish, without asking for anything in return.”
“Cas…”
“No, it’s my turn to speak Dean.”
Dean went silent and closed his eyes.
“I didn’t mind it Dean. I did it because I love you and the…sex, was, nice. I understand love has been hard in the past, that you have been burned by it.” Cas’ breaths against Deans neck was starting to drive him crazy. “I want more, I do not understand why, but I want more. I want more of you, then just the sex. I do not understand these feelings most of the time, they are new for me. I get frustrated at times, and I try not to push things on you.
“I do not know how much longer I can keep myself from wanting more, or how much time there will be before I decide it’s not good enough.”
Dean was shaking now. He knew it wasn’t from being cold, or from Cas’ breath against his neck; he was scared, and he felt guilty.
“Cas I…”
“I understand Dean. What I do not understand is why you will not give it a try.”
“Cas… I…” Dean sighed. “I don’t know, when ever I think about giving in, I get panicky. I think that once you see all of me, you’re going to leave.”
“Dean. I pulled you out of hell; I saw your very soul. There is not a part of you that I have not seen.” Cas turned him around so they were eye to eye. “There is not a part of you that I do not like.”
“I tortured people Cas, and I liked it.”
Cas stared at him intently.
“You have flaws. It is those flaws that I find so fascinating. I do not think I’d like you if you were not flawed. You would not be Dean if you didn’t have these flaws. And I like you just how you are.”
“Cas, this is turning into a chick flick.”
“I do not understand that reference, but I do believe it is a good thing.”
Dean chuckled and stared at him.
“I am serious though. I do love you, every bit of you.”
“I… Cas, I…” Dean stared at him. “Ah Hell, I love you to.”
Cas smiled and leaned in to kiss Dean, who kissed him back. Instead of the heated lustful kisses like before, this one was slow and tender. It held a meaning, a connection; Dean’s submission to Cas.
“Gabriel, bad timing.” He heard a familiar voice. “I did not need to see my brother in the middle of a…chick flick kiss moment.”
Dean broke the kiss, vaguely aware of Cas tight grip around his waist, and what was most likely a very girly pose; he’d have to catch these.
Just not right now.
“Where the hell have you been?” Dean demanded.
“Sorry mother I was off trying to get help, while you’re off kissing angels.” Sam raised an eyebrow.
“That was quick Gabriel, I expected him to be…longer.” Cas still hadn’t released Dean.
“Yeah, the Sasquatch caught on really quick. I was proud of him.”
He watched Sam roll his eyes and glare at the short trickster.
“It would have gone quicker if it wasn’t for your…first couple of trials.”
“Trials…what the hell.” He turned to Cas. “What’s going on?”
“I’ll leave that to you, Bro.” Gabriel grinned.
“I went to Gabriel about two weeks ago, and asked for his help.”
“And, you didn’t tell me, why?”
“Because you would have been a douche.” Sam answered for Cas, who looked like he was contemplating his answer.
“And what, he steals my brother, does god only knows what with him, and then I get left out of the loop wondering if he’s dead?”
“No, Gabriel helped Sam deal with a few of his problems, while I sorted out our relationship.”
Dean stared at Sam, then at the trickster, then at Cas. He sucked in a deep breath, let it out then stared at Cas, placing a hand on his shoulder. He took another deep breath, let that out and counted to ten. He then opened his mouth, closed it, opened it again, thought better of it, and closed it one more time.
“Stop thinking, it looks like you’re going to have an aneurism.” Gabriel chuckled.
“Oh, bite me.”
“That’s Castiel’s job,” Gabriel countered.
Dean sighed.
Cas leaned over and captured Dean’s lips in a kiss, and Dean kissed him back, nibbling gently on his bottom lip, tugging at it playfully and couldn’t help but smile. He had been so stupid, so pig headed. He hadn’t realised how great a feeling letting Cas in would give him; it was like a drug, a good drug. Cas continued to kiss Dean who cracked open an eye to see Gabriel hiding Sam’s face in his shoulder as he patted his back.
Dean rolled his eyes and nipped Cas’ bottom lip once more.
“I hope you don’t expect chick flicks all the time,” Dean broke the kiss.
“Of course not. You would not be Dean if I could.”
“Anywho.” Gabriel coughed into his hand. “So, let’s get to work on a way to kick Lucy’s ass. And possibly Michael’s, too.”
“Wait, you’re going to help us? I thought you didn’t want to fight your family?” Dean questioned, surprised.
“Well, you could say I’ve had a change of heart.” He wiggled his eyebrows at Sam.
“Oh yeah, a huge change.”
“Samsquashable.”
“Wait… are you two a thing?”
Everyone but Dean rolled there eyes, while Gabriel and Sam started to laugh.
“Are you fucking my brother!?”
Sam sighed.
“I told you he’d be pissed.”
