She knew their plans, she knew what they were going to do; that’s why they were doing this, why they had sent Ambriel after the Winchesters, looking like her; to break their trust. It was brittle, and easily brought down, she only wished Castiel sould have known it wasn’t here, he should have been able to tell, and that stung a bit but now, now there was nothing she could do but sit back and watch the world crumble.
She had been so close.
She had escaped from heaven with plans, with knowledge and she planned to use it to help them saved the world, instead they’d brought her down. Not with Kushiels whip, but with mistrust and deceit; how Heaven had fallen. She had tried, she really had, but they wouldn’t believe her; not anymore. Now they’d smite first ask later, so was the Winchester motto.
She watched Dean and Sam get murdered, watched Dean loose faith in himself and in Sam. Watched Castiel driven to anger she’d never seen out of grief as he tried to help Dean; Dean wouldn’t listen. She watched Castiel destroy himself to try and give them one last chance; watched Dean take it. She watched Dean break over the loss of Castiel.
She watched Gabriel fight with himself, watched him fight with them and his feelings. She then watched him stand tall and face Lucifer; she saw him die, fall at the hands of his brother he once loved dearly. She watched the light leave his eyes and his wings burn into the ground below him as Lucifer cried for his loss; he had loved Gabriel. Love was never enough though, he needed it all and Gabriel couldn’t give it too him.
She watched Crowley work his way into their lives, watched him plot and plan and help in way’s that none of the humans understood. She watched him strike a deal with Bobby, watched him make a kiss that would change many things for the crossroads demon. He watched Crowley’s find fight in his second apocalypse; this time without his angel.
This time he had Bobby.
He watched Cas come back broken, human; watched Dean fret over him. She watched as they came closer to collecting the rings, none of them telling Castiel of his loss; there was so much loss. She watched Castiel find new hope, new skills; watched Bobby walk again. She watched as the brothers split up for the last time, and Sam come to realise maybe he had to say yes.
Watched Dean converse with Death, watched him realise just how small they all were; the truth. She watched him take the rings with a new determination, banish Sam’s idea and then embrace it with as much effort he could give. She watched Sam say yes, Sam fail; Dean breaking again. She watched Dean drive to hid death, she watched Castiel die for a second time, then Bobby; Dean was next,
She watched Sam pull through and jump into the pit, dragging Michael with him. She watched Castiel shine brighter then he had in years, and then watched him leave Dean; how hard that was for him, how sorry he was. Watched Bobby and Dean say good-bye to Bobby and slip into a life he wasn’t meant for; he did it for Sam. She watched her father smile and return to where he belonged; Heaven.
The leaves crunched underfoot as she shoved her hands into her pockets, eyes cats upwards at the overcast sky causing a slight drizzle and a gusty wind that toyed with her long red hair. Her blue eyes lowered back to the ground and her runners, her jeans; her coat hugging her body for warmth. She moved till she was sitting on a bench, watching the children laugh and play, like Dean and Cas had so long ago when Cas had first started to see the truth.
The moment he first saw Dean for who he was.
“I watched, for so long I sat and watched it all unfold. I wanted, for so many months to help to interfere yet I didn’t.”
A hand rested on her shoulder and she closed her eyes, basking in the warmth.
“You did well, Anna.” His voice was soft, like a summer breeze with a hint of crisp winter frost.
“Sam, he wont stay long will he? He’ll come back for Dean, and Castiel too? Dean has such a fear of being abandoned, I’d hate for him to loose everyone again.”
“Yes, Samuel will be back, as with Castiel.” He agreed.
“What about Gabriel? He did help out in the end; you know his true feelings. He never got a chance to express them. He brought laughter to the world, and though becoming Pagan may not have been, the best he could have done; he still did the right thing.”
“Yes, Gabriel will be back as well.”
Anna smiled and closed her eyes. She’d watch them, make sure they stayed safe, and if ever the time came they needed her help.
Then she’d do more then watch.
The End.

on 2010-07-16 04:27 pm (UTC)But that was actually quite interesting to not use her name for nearly the whole text.
Now Anna. I don't read that much SPN fanfics, so I don't know if she is a lot in it but, from what I saw, the answer is not. So, in this situation, I gonna come and say "That's quite original using her point of view" She's been one of those fix points in time and space in Supernatural and indeed witnessed a lot.
Though, ok, I don't like that much Anna. Still, it was quite a good discovery, that fic about her.
Of course Gabriel will be back :D

on 2010-07-16 04:31 pm (UTC)Lol. I liked Anna, then when they had her go try and kill Sam I found that SO out of character I tossed and turned and rp'd and finally I was like. No, It wasn't her who did it! It was some angel, disguised as her, and now poor Anna's stranded somewhere alone, who wants to help but can't...
I was also surpirsed I didn't name the guy she was talking too, I planned on it but then it ended and he wasn't named, but I realised it's quite ovbiouse he didn't need naming.
At least I hope so! XD Glad you liked.
Dure, spn will not be spn without him.

on 2010-07-16 04:41 pm (UTC)HEY! *waves* I didn't expect a reply that quickly! ♥
I do! I really do! *hugs* This is scary btw, because you could make me read like, everything. That's a shame because she was so bad ass and brilliant.
Yeah that was so WEIRD! I stopped to care about her at that point because it was so... so not her.
No you didn't! But when you know it's Anna, it makes sense. And well, even if you don't, it does as well.
I did! Well, it reminded me that I liked her. Writers just screwed it up.
I know. I know! I'm so excited about the new season.

on 2010-07-16 09:01 pm (UTC)That's why I trust you that much! I know you will always give me something epic and interesting. You should, try to find a com where you could belong. That'd be interesting.
Exactly. That is her like the first time we met her. Like she deserves to be.
:O Oh gawd why would they do that? They know Richard IS the Trickster. That'd be suicidal to cast somebody else
