Summary: It has been a week since Gabriel left to find his horn, he decides to send Sam a greeting card.

It had been a week since Gabriel had slipped away from their group to go find his horn.

It wasn’t that he needed it, no that wasn’t it, he just missed it; sort of. The fact that he heard from a few Gods, Coyote and Raven, that Kali was looking for it so she could use it against him for revenge had nothing to do with it; he swears. Nope, he was terrified of the fiery Goddess of destruction, he just missed it, like an archangel teddy bear.

Okay maybe that was the reason; more manly then a teddy bear.

Anyways, he was missing Sam, and he knew Sam was missing him; he could feel it. He couldn’t pop in to visit him though, he was so close to grabbing it; he needed to get it before Kali, so he decided to send a greeting card to him, VIA a Cupid. The reunion had been a little awkward, full of naked, not on Gabriel’s side, hugging and friendly catch ups.

Everything seemed to be going perfect.

Seemed would be the operative word here.

Sam lay sprawled out on the hotel bed, typing away at his computer for information on whatever the hell was killing people in Maine. So far he’d come up with nothing, though he had a feeling they were dealing with some sort of God or something. When you lived with an archangel-turned trickster, you picked up a few things.

Sam clicked on the next link when he caught something out of the corner of his eye; Dean’s shout and stumbled confirmed their was something else in the room with them. Cas seemed to jump to his feet, and looked like he considered bolting for the door, while Pumpkin –tucked against his side, mewed and padded towards the round man.

It was a cupid, and Pounce was doing as she was famous for; pouncing.

The Cupid caught the kitten and held it close, petting it’s head like a child would and smiling.

“Pretty kitty.”

Sam turned to Cas who seemed more concerned for the kitten then anything else, then too Dean who was eyeing the door. Last time they had met a cupid he had punched it; maybe this one was coming back for revenge? He hoped not, that would be pretty embarrassing; killed by Cupid, they’d be talked about for ever.

And not in a good way.

“Um Hi, can I uh, ask what you’re doing here?”

Cupid turned towards Sam and placed the kitten down, storming towards him and pulling him into a bone crushing hug, lifting his feet off the ground and rocking him back and forth; Sam was pretty sure his lungs had collapsed on him.

“You’re Gabriel’s mate, any friend or mate of Gabriel is a friend of me.” He grinned and placed Sam down. “I have a greeting card for you.”

Sam blinked and shook his head. “Gabriel sent you?”

“Yup!” He cleared his throat. “Love for me is you…and it’s all about you! I cherish my life with you always around me…can never think of how it would be without you…all I know is even when you are miles apart from me…you will still remain an important piece of that puzzle, which completes my life. I love you.”

Sam stared at him, blinking.

“Did he really send that?”

Cupid smiled. “I may have added a few words here or there, but that conveys what’s truly in his heart, even if he’s not ready to exactly say it yet.”

Sam smiled and nodded. “Thanks.”

It had gone well, but when Gabriel found out what Cupid had really said, he was going to throw a hissy fit. Sam didn’t mind though, because he knew Gabriel’s true feelings, Cupid made them clear.

Sam loved him too.

Interesting take on a greeting card. Quite inventive. Gabriel is going to be annoyed but he should known, he did send a cupid!

LOL yep, Gabriel is gonna be pissed. Love the Cupid for relaying what Gabriel actually had in his heart. Very awesome :)
