( ~*~*~*~> <center>~*~*~*~</center> I’m not exactly sure how I made it here, or how everything became so, so fucked. It had been a year, a year since it had all happened, and I’m pretty sure things are just getting worse. The world wasn’t ready for this, though that’s not completely true, some of them were ready; but we weren’t. We weren’t ready for everything we’d thought was just script, nothing but scribbles of a brilliant man. No, none of us were ready for the weight, the struggle, the pain, the lost; none of it. How we survived this long is beyond me, though I’d like to think it was mostly ‘cause of the fans; those crazy, obsessive fans. I sighed and rubbed my face, my breath coiling around me in white puffs. It was cold most of the time, and I don’t quite remember the last time we saw the sun. The cloud cover had started about a week or two after it had gone down. With the sun went the heat, and if it wasn’t for the few seconds of it, or the soft rays that seemed to slink through the clouds, I’m sure we’d all have frozen to death now; the earth would have frozen to death. That aside, I guess it helped that there was no sun. There was no day or night to confuse us anymore, so if we needed to stay up late, well, our bodies wouldn’t know the difference. Not that I wasn’t used to this with acting, but it definitely helped my body from completely shutting down. The lack of sleep, on the other hand, did nothing to keep my energy up. I wasn’t sure my diet of coffee and sugary food was doing anything for my stamina. I closed my eyes and relaxed against the hard wood of the chair. There wasn’t much room for luxuries now, but as far as hard-wooden chairs went, this one was quite comfortable. I dug into the pocket of my leather coat. It wasn’t worn for the looks, but because if you went down in the middle of a fight, it would hold up a lot more than some flimsy cotton or fur coat. Denim was always a second best choice, and I wore a heavy jean jacket under the leather. It also kept in the heat and made a little barrier from any blade – or claws – that may want to find bare flesh. Speaking of safety, I also wore a very, very uncomfortable piece of metal, which liked to chafe a lot, around my neck. It fit all the way around, with a clasp on the inside that the metal slid over, making it secure. It wasn’t my idea; one of my group members – a girl who seemed to know a lot about defensive clothes and weapons – had come up with it. She’d read it in one of her favourite books, and it had saved some people's lives. Not everyone could be saved, of course, but that was just par for the course now. It used to be harder, losing people, like Danneel… I cut off that train of thought and drew the dagger from inside my sleeve, moving quickly and pushing it against the throat of my former co-star. He threw his hands up in a non-threatening manner and I lowered it, returning to my seat with my head in my hands. I’d become so jumpy lately, much like Dean. Hell, I pretty much was Dean these days, I’d sunk almost completely into his persona, I’d even forgot my name sometimes. “You alright man?” Jared asked and sat all of his 6’4 )
