Dean never thought he’d settle down…Really, there was no joking there. He always figured he’d be one of those perverted old men in the nursing home, hitting on all the chicks and hot nurses. Not that he expected to ever live in a nursing home or live to be that old, but you get the point. So when Cas had asked he had been a little taken back – okay a whole lot, he never thought Cas would have asked something like that.
He had stared at the angel before breaking into a smile because he looked so nervous and it was kind of cute.
Dean stared at Cas with a shocked expression as the angel knelt in front of him, holding out a very manly – thank God – ring and looking up at Dean with love and nervousness but also determination. “Dean,” he started and frowned before nodding his head. “I love you; have loved you since the moment we met, even if I did not understand my feelings then. You have helped me, taught me to grow and I wish to spend my life with you. I know it is human means to ‘get hitched’ when they love each other and plan on spending their life together forever.
"So Dean, will you marry me?”
Dean opened his mouth and closed it, opened it again and closed it a second time before sinking to his knees as well and gripping Cas by his ridiculous tie and yanking him into himself and kissing him deeply. Cas responded instantly, closed fist resting on his shoulder, holding the ring protectively as he kissed back.
“Of course Cas. Yes.”
It had been six months since then and five since they had had the wedding – small with only Sam, Gabriel and Bobby – six months since the apocalypse that wasn’t and everything had gone back to normal. Sam was getting better, and they had gotten back to their regular hunting, working on their relationship as brothers while including Cas into the mix. Sam seemed to adjust to this fine enough, welcoming Cas into the family with open arms, stating that he’d become apart of the family years ago.
Cas smiled and thanked Sam and Dean had as well, in private where no one could see him and his little chick-flick moment. There had been a brotherly embrace and smiles and laughter and awkward moments and coughs before they both went their separate ways with beers in hand.
It was perfect, and Dean had spent a good three months waiting for the other shoe to drop, but even Gabriel was behaving, only popping in when necessary and he hadn’t pranked them…too bad. He and Cas had worked on their own brotherly issues, and had become close. Apparently the archangel was working on being less destructive with his pranks – unless they deserved it, and some of the people Gabriel went after Dean wasn’t ashamed to admit deserved a good beat-down.
“Dean.”
Dean was pulled out of his thoughts as he opened his eyes, pushing himself onto his elbows from the laying position he had taken on the couch. “What is it, Cas?” he asked as he yawned and stretched, opening his arms and letting his angel come to curl beside him.
“You said you wished to speak with me.”
Dean blinked and then mentally kicked himself because he had almost forgotten. “Um, yeah look uh…” Dean cleared his throat and ran a hand over his face, pulling Cas closer to him and kissing his forehead. “You see, I was uh, researching. Okay, maybe Sam was researching and he stumbled upon something that interested me.”
“What was it?” Cas asked, staring at him with those blue eyes.
Dean went red around the ears and he coughing into his hand. “Is it, uh…true that you can get, um pregnant?”
Cas blinked and stared at him, tilting his head slightly before nodding. “Yes Dean, it is true. Why do you ask?”
“Um, Casdoyouwantothavemykid?”
Cas opened his mouth and stared at Dean before smiling. “I’m sorry Dean, I do not understand what it is you are asking.”
Dean buried his face in Cas’ neck. “Do…you want to have my kid?”
Cas was quiet for a moment, like he was thinking it over and Dean panicked a little bit, okay maybe more then a little bit but it was in his nature to think the worst of everything.
“If you’re worried about its safety, I will stop hunting till the baby is one or something and Bobby can take care of him when we are on hunts and we don’t have to make it be a hunter, actually I don’t plan on it being a hunter and Gabriel and Sam would help, though I don’t know if I want Gabriel watching him by himself-”
“Dean.”
“So Sam and him could watch him together if we don’t need him on a hunt and we have the money, with the credit card scams and I mean how much safer could a kid get with hunter parents who don’t want him running out and hunting? Plus one of his fathers being an angel who’s completely BAMF.”
“Dean.”
Dean swallowed and sucked air into his oxygen deprived lungs. “Y-yes?”
Cas grasped his face between his hands and placed a kiss to his forehead and then his lips. “Yes.” He smiled. “I’ll be honoured to bear our child.”
“Really?”
Dean nodded. “Yes Dean, really.”
Cas leaned down to kiss him and Dean smiled into it, tugging gently at his bottom lip with his teeth. He slid his hands up Cas’ shirt, tugging it out from his dress pants and started to trace soft patterns on Cas’ chest. It was lazy, and warm and Dean could feel Cas shiver. Dean deepened the kiss, as he brushed his tongue over Cas; bottom lip, nibbling it gently before licking his way into Cas mouth.
Cas met Dean's tongue with his own and curled a hand around the back of his neck to pull him close. He moved his lips in time with Dean's, slowly and rhythmically, and he smiled slightly. Dean allowed Cas to pull him closer, pressing a hand to Cas' hip, before working on removing his angel's coats, letting them slip onto the floor, the tie and his own shirt following them as Cas decided to join in.
His angel moved so he was level with Dean, partly hovering over him, hand trailing up and down Dean’s chest, causing him to shiver gently. Dean wrapped an arm around Cas' waist, drawing him closer and letting his fingertips run down his spine. Cas repaid him by brushing his fingertips over Dean’s nipples. He sucked in a breath as he kissed Cas deeper, nipping his bottom lip, his hand trailing downwards to cup his ass and grind up against him.
Cas groaned a sound that went right to his libido as Dean groaned back and worked on removing Cas’ pants, before working on his own jeans, kicking them off and tugging at Cas’ boxers till there was nothing but flesh against flesh. Dean flipped them and moved down on Cas, grabbing the lube to slick up his fingers, before he teasingly circled Cas' puckered entrance, not pushing to enter, just moving in slow, lazy circles, causing him to moan and writhe under him.
Dean finally slipped it inside of him, moving so he was kissing his angel again, one finger becoming two, and then three as he worked Cas open till he was moaning and squirming under him. Dean let his fingers slip out and grabbed the lube once again, slicking up his cock before pressing slowly, and gently into of Cas, groaning and gripping his hips, soothing them with the pads of his fingers till he bottomed out.
The sex itself was slow and lazy and oh-so-good. Dean moaned against Cas’ lips as Cas’ fingers dragged up and down his back, sometimes his nails would catch with one of Dean’s harder thrusts. His own hand was wrapped tightly around Cas' erection, tugging and pumping it in time with his movements, until Cas cried out, coming hard between them, warmth ran down Dean’s fingers as he milked Cas through it before he was cumming too.
He gently pulled out of Cas and curled up next to him, wrapping an arm around his waist as Cas waved a hand, the mess clearing up.
“I love you Dean.
“Love you too Cas, love you too.”
~*~*~*~
Cas was two months into his pregnancy and he was starting to show, a small baby bump that Dean just couldn’t stop touching, because under there was his kid, his and Cas’ and he was going to be a father. It still gave him butterflies in his stomach when he thought about it, but when ever Cas would smile at him he’d know everything was alright. Cas didn’t have the violent mood swings Gabriel had teased them about till Cas had been all worked up and Dean had been white.
Sam had thrown on one of his bitch faces and Gabriel had backed off, which was weird but Dean wasn’t looking into it, if there was something going on – and judging by how Sam still had a stick up his ass he highly doubted it – then he really didn’t care. Though the archangel was hanging around more often, but he spent most of his time with Cas, chatting on and on about things in Enochian and Dean didn’t understand a word of it.
This was a regular occurrence and Dean – like he was right now – would make his way to hang with Sam, always making sure to keep an eye on Cas. He hadn’t bothered to knock; Sam was on his lap-top and was most likely researching and he’d rather not be told to be quiet. Instead he walked up behind Sam and looked over his shoulder.
Gabriel move with swift movements through the rain, dodging puddles gracefully as he made his way towards the shadowy figure with purposeful strides, tears mixing with the water, masking them. He was going to slow, and time seemed to be working against him as he picked up his pace, slipping into a run…
Dean blinked.
“Uh, Sam?”
Sam let out a started choked-off yelp and slammed his lap-top closed whipping around.
“Dean! What the hell man, haven’t you ever heard of knocking?” Sam snapped the bitch-face always reserved for Dean slipping onto his face and Dean sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Are you reading fan-fiction?” Dean asked, his voice tinged with humour. “Seriously Sammy?”
Sam dropped back down onto his chair and shrugged, re-opening his lap-top.
“’S not all bad. Not all of it is slash either. Since Becky conned Chuck into publishing the new books, there has been different types of stuff coming up. A lot of you and Cas as well, not that I’m going anywhere near it. Not all of it’s bad, some of it’s interesting.”
“Yeah, but why are you reading about Gabriel?”
“Part of a series, not all about him.” Sam ducked his head and Dean blinked before walking out of the room, weirded out.
He made his way back into the living room, because he’d rather sit there and listen to Gabriel and Cas chat in ‘Angel FM’ then think about why his brother would be reading fan-fiction for anyways. Well, at least that had been his plan but Cas was alone, apparently Gabriel had a new Trick idea and Dean found himself pulling Cas into his lap as he traced fingers over the round lump that was his angels baby bump and smiling.
“Sam’s reading fan-fiction,” Dean stated.
“Oh?”
“About Gabriel.”
Cas nodded and turned to look back at Dean, resting the back of his head on his shoulder and closed his eyes. “Yes, it does make sense.”
“How’s that?” Dean snorted.
“I do believe Sam likes Gabriel.”
“What?” Dean shook his head. “How do you figure?”
“He has turned into a sort-of recluse Dean, he only interacts with me you or Bobby and the only time I really see his eyes light up is when Gabriel’s around. Gabriel also pushes Sam’s buttons more easily then any of us, and there’s the stares, and now this.”
“How…Wha…” Dean rubbed at his eyes. “What are we going to do?”
“I do believe Gabriel likes him as well, Gabriel only listens to Sam.”
Dean sighed. “Are we really going to play cupid?”
“I believe so, yes.”
“Then you better get out of those clothes.” Dean grinned and tilted Cas head till their lips met.

Easier said then freaking done.
Sam was all for the loving and sharing of feelings unless they came to his own with Gabriel. He’s instantly shut down when ever Dean asked about it, and he’d pull on a bitch-face and storm out, or snap at him like a freaking PMSing teenager. Sam was such a girl and Dean wondered how he hadn’t seen it before, because now that he looked at it, he did see it. Sam only ever got defensive and closed off when it came to things he truly cared about.
Apparently Cas was having about as much luck with Gabriel, who didn’t think he deserved Sam after all the crap he pulled. Dean wanted to tell him Sam pulled crap too, and so did he and they were all defective and to just go fuck his brother and get it over with because really, enough was enough.
He wondered how Sam hadn’t punched him because he was pretty sure he and Cas had been just as bad and Dean really wanted to hit his brother, get him to pull his head out of his ass. And when another month went by Dean was about ready to lock them in a closet surrounded by a ring of fire and leave them there.
Instead they had them both in Bobby’s living room, sitting on the couch with threatens of bodily harm and diaper duty if they didn’t stay sitting.
“Okay you two, this is an intervention, enough is enough. Look, Gabriel, my little brother is madly in love with you. He is even reading fan-fiction about you, it’s sad and all this needs to end right now.” Dean crossed his arms from where he was leaning against Bobby’s desk.
Sam opened his mouth but Cas cut him off.
“Sam, my brother loves you as well. He only ever listens to you, and he has given up most of his unruly habits for you, but he does not think he deserves you, just as I believe you do not think you deserve him. But our Father created us for love and you two have love, so not sharing that love would be a disgrace to him.”
Gabriel looked down at his lap then at Sam, who was staring at him and Dean wrapped an arm around Cas’ waist, pulling him close and smiling as the wall between the two finally shattered and they talked, and when talking turned to more then talking Dean and Cas vacated the living room.
~*~*~*~
At around eight months Cas had to stay in bed, and they had all agreed no more hunting until at least after the baby was born, then Sam could go – Gabriel would go with him – on his own while Dean stayed with Cas and the baby. Neither of them had wanted to know what the baby was yet, and the baby was feeding off Cas’ grace, trying to build it’s own leaving him weak and practically human.
This meant around the clock care.
Dean didn’t mind, it meant he got to spend time with Cas, and take care of him, like all the times Cas had taken care of him.
“How you feeling baby?” Dean smiled as he curled in behind Cas, wrapping an arm around him, his fingertips gently brushing across his swollen stomach.
“My stomach hurts, I am big and I can not leave bed without passing out or without help. You are fretting over me like a mother hen, I am fine.” He smiled and pushed back into Dean. “You are warm, it is nice.”
“Yeah, fresh out of the dryer.” He grinned and placed a soft kiss to the back of Cas’ neck.
“Have you thought about names Dean?” Castiel hummed softly. “I was thinking Tyler for a boy, something normal.”
“Yeah, Tyler is nice…and for a girl how about Amanda.”
“Yes, Amanda, I like it.”
~*~*~*~
“Daddy, Daddy!” a high-pitched squeal came from around the house before Dean was jumped by the small frame of a four year old girl. “Daddy Uncle Gabe said that the shadow man was going to eat me!”
Dean looked down at his daughter and sighed, turning to look at Cas who was climbing out of the Car, and then at Sam who was pinching the bridge of his nose.
“I’ll go talk to him,” Sam muttered and made his way towards Bobby’s back entrance. “GABRIEL!”
“There’s going to be no shadow man coming to get you, your uncle Gabriel is just teasing,” Cas reassured her and kissed her forehead. “Your daddy and I and your Uncle Sam will make sure of it, okay Amanda?”
She nodded her head, her long dirty-blond hair, which was turning more and more brown by the minute flying into her face, her bright blue eyes wide and locked onto Dean's. “Okay daddy.”
“That’s my girl.” Dean grinned and shifted her so she was on his hip and walked back inside. It was silence so either Gabriel had silenced his and Sam’s room or he had conned his way out of being in trouble. Either way he didn’t worry, he had Amanda and Cas and Sam was happy and they were one big happy family.
Dean had never been happier.
